The Red Sea is not only elegant hotels at a fraction of the cost of other destinations, there is of course the diving! I learnt to dive off the coast of Sharm and I still say it’s one of the best dive sites in the world.
Ultra modern, exciting, cosmopolitan and world renowned are a few superlatives that are regularly used to describe Dubai. It is a city built for tourism which means miles of pristine beaches, super-luxury hotels and resorts, world-class cuisine, lavish designer shopping malls in a duty free zone and facilities and amenities to rival any global destination.
Oman has to be one of the most surprising countries in the Middle East. There are vast deserts, rugged mountains, beaches and ancient imperial forts. It is proud of its rich Arabian culture and history dating back over five thousand years. Tourism is being introduced gradually, but there are now luxury resorts set on fabulous beaches, watersports and some excellent dive sites.
