Almyra is set on the hillside a mere 15-minute walk from Fiscardo harbour. It enjoys fabulous panoramic views across the cypress tree-clad hillside, out to the sea, and beyond to Ithaca. The entrance leads through reception to a spacious bar, lounge and breakfast area, all of which open onto the main terrace. This terrace runs alongside the entire frontage of Almyra and extends towards the sea on one side – thereby providing considerable space and a wonderful vantage point overlooking the pool area with superb views to sea. Steps lead down to the large freshwater swimming pool and Pool Bar, which are located in the grounds in front of the main building, and are surrounded by further terraces where guests can relax and enjoy the ambience.

Facilities
Almyra is owned by Polychronis and Elina, whose family runs one of Fiscardo’s most popular harbourside restaurants, ‘Tassia’s’. Indeed the restaurant is named after the head chef, Tassia, (Polchronis’ sister) who is a minor celebrity – she is a published cookery book author and hosts a Greek television food programme. The family are used to providing high levels of service and Elina, who runs Almyra, works hard to ensure that her guests may enjoy this same hospitality and service at Almyra. The excellent Terrace Restaurant is open 3 evenings per week and serves lunch daily. There is a large swimming pool and children's pool. A motor boat is provided for one day of each week of stay and mountain bikes are available for guest use.
